LITS3304 / E33D EXAM ADVICE 2004-2005
There are 5 questions to choose from.
You must answer two questions.
One is devoted to Derrida;
Two questions are devoted to the critical theorists studied (Barthes [x 2], De Man, Bloom); each question will address an issue arising in single essay by a particular theorist;
Two questions are devoted to the Post-colonial theorists studied (Bhabha [x 2], Hall); each question will address an issue arising in single essay by a particular theorist.
Remember that sometimes questions can be worded in a roundabout way to test your ability to figure out the issue which the question is really getting at. For example, a question on the reader or the reading process may not ask you discuss so and so's views on the reader per se but do so indirectly by, for instance, utilising a quote from a theorist.
